Your tasks
- Construction of project objects in compliance with customer specifications, relevant laws, guidelines, internal standards and norms
- Close cooperation with the customer (technical coordination) and independent execution of the design order.
- Design changes to products, assemblies, product packaging and individual parts as well as to devices, test devices, gauges and tools
- Construction of innovative reusable load carriers and assembly devices to optimize internal and customer assembly and logistics processes
- Preparation of proposed solutions for the customer
- Selection of materials and technologies in terms of manufacturability, manufacturing costs and deadlines
- Checking and ensuring manufacturability
- Preparation and review of correct design-related manufacturing documents
- Definition and definition of quality requirements with regard to tolerances
- Preparation of all necessary technical documents
- Continuous data maintenance (CAD, PDM, other department-relevant data)
- Joint implementation of project goals (costs, deadlines and quality) with the project manager.
- Procurement of parts for prototypes
- Technical clarifications with suppliers
- Evaluation of initial commercial and technical offerings from suppliers
- Supervision and management of external designers
your profile
- Technical education (BHS, FH, UNI, HTL)
- Knowledge of designs in 3D systems and PDM (CREO desirable)
- Project management (basic knowledge)
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Willingness to travel at home and abroad
- (Several years of) practical experience in the metal processing or similar industry is an advantage
- Constructions in 3D systems are advantageous
- Manufacturing technologies, advantageous use of materials
